André De Freitas is a critically acclaimed stand-up comedian and actor from Portugal. André’s journey 
began at 15 when he auditioned - acting for the first time - for the acclaimed drama school Escola 
Professional de Teatro de Cascais in Portugal. He was awarded with “Best International New Act” award 
by the world-famous Comic’s Lounge at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.  
In 2023 he returned to the UK where he made history by being the first ever Portuguese comedian to 
perform a comedy solo at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival his debut show - ‘What If’ was critically 
acclaimed having received a number of 5 stars reviews. He also made the list of the funniest jokes of the 
2023 Fringe by Telegraph.
